L. SHAMBLOTT Nancy L. Shamblott, 63, of Duluth, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at
Bayshore from ALS. Nancy L. Shamblott,
63, of Duluth, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at Bayshore from ALS. She was born on
Decz. 25, 1949 to Harry and Ruth Bloomquist in Duluth. After graduating
from Denfeld in 1967, Nancy worked for Duluth National Bank. She then went to
St. Louis County Federal Savings and Loan, where she met her husband of 33
years, Stuart Shamblott. Nancy also worked for Physician's Mutual in Superior
and most recently was the Administrative Assistant to Scott Vesterstein of
Fitger's Complex. She was a member of
Asbury United Methodist Church and had a giving, although anonymous, nature.
In the summer, she loved to go rummaging with her mom (best friend) and loved
to find things for others. Nancy is preceded
in death by her father; grandparents; and aunt and uncle, Lorraine and
Reynold Peterson. She is survived by
her husband, Stuart; mother, Ruth; sister, Judy (George) Skorich; brother,
Chuck "Chas" (Cindy) Bloomquist; stepson, Jason Shamblott; niece,
Jennifer (Jason) Howard; the love of her life, great niece, Kayla Skorich;
and friends, Collette Pekkala, Kathy Hendrickson, and Chrissy. She is further
survived by other relatives and friends. The family would
like to thank Dr. Kenneth Irons and the nurses on 8E of Essentia for their
wonderful care of Nancy. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 4
p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Asbury United Methodist Church, 6822 Grand Ave.
Visitation one hour prior to the service in the church. In lieu of flowers,
memorials preferred to St. Jude's, Animal Allies of Duluth and Superior, and
Douglas County Humane Society. To
